“Whatever Rotary may mean to us, to the world it will be known by the results it achieves.”

Born in Racine, Wisconsin and raised in Vermont, Paul Harris practiced law in Chicago and on 23 February 1905 formed the world's first service club with three friends — Silvester Schiele, Gustavus Loehr and Hiram Shorey. He named it “Rotary” because the meetings rotated between members' offices. By the time he died in 1947, his small idea had grown to over 6,000 clubs — and today connects 1.4 million Rotarians worldwide.

An orthodontist from Ragusa, Sicily, Francesco Arezzo has served as RI Director (2018-20), vice chair of the Joint Strategic Planning Committee, learning facilitator and district conference presidential representative. Through his presidential message Unite for Good, he calls on Rotarians to bring together people of every background — across races, religions and professions — in a shared mission to do good in their communities.

As District Governor of RI District 3262 for 2025-26, Rtn. Manoj Kumar Tripathy leads more than a hundred clubs across Odisha in advancing Rotary's areas of focus — from polio eradication and clean water to women's empowerment and youth development. His vision aligns with the Rotary Club of Berhampur's theme Lakshya · Unite for Good, championing fellowship, membership growth and service projects that change lives.

Rotary Club of Berhampur

Chartered in 1954, the Rotary Club of Berhampur is one of the oldest Rotary clubs in Odisha and an integral part of RI District 3262. Over seven decades the club has championed projects in education, healthcare, sanitation, environment, women's empowerment and community welfare across Berhampur and surrounding districts.

The 2025-26 club theme — “Create Lasting Impact” — captures our shared aim to bring members together for measurable impact.
